Functions, Purchase Info, and Examples

FeatureXTract™ 3.0 was designed with a full focus on defined user requirements for linear and non-linear complex feature extraction and associated 3-D modeling. This includes both function and performance. In 2013, we completed version 3.0, offering more than 60 new and improved capabilities.

Likewise, in addition to offering an improved user experience, the software has been purposefully priced to ensure user affordability; and this is a key point in times of increasing budget constraints. We hope you’ll notice that the cost of FeatureXTract is significantly less than comparable solutions.

(Note: FeatureXTract was developed under an SBIR. The term "SBIR Data Rights" is defined at subparagraph (a)(18) of the clause at DFARS 252-227.7018, and all DFARS/FARs are applicable in this regard apply.)

> Functional Overview

FeatureXTract™ offers efficient and simplified methods for extracting linear and nonlinear features from imagery and generating accurate complex 3-D models. The system uses overlapping aerial and satellite imagery and can quickly extract 3-D buildings, roads, and other forms via an intuitive, easy to use interface.

With FeatureXTract, there is no need to worry about epipolar resampling - or other confusing geometric issues. Simply load the input imagery, extract buildings etc., and export the 3-D content for use in other common visual simulation or GIS applications. Further, FeatureXTract automatically texture maps the extracted buildings from the source imagery – meaning: you no longer have to guess on which texture to use.

FeatureXTract requires no special graphics hardware; and with a long list of export formats, FeatureXTract is a great tool for extracting high-resolution, geospatially accurate complex 3-D features.
